New company Noon Home debuts with its Noon Smart Lighting System with the claim of “Light Up Your Life.”
According to the company, the smart lighting system improves the way a room looks thanks to its ambient, task and accent lights to layer lighting.
It is consists of Room Director switch and companion Extension Switches, which are connected through via Bluetooth Low Energy technology.
The Room Director comes with a glass touchscreen OLED display that clips at the light switch of noon base.
It will allow you to adjust all a room’s lights.
You can control the Noon Lighting System either via Noon app or with Amazon Alexa.
The Noon app is available on both iOS and Android.
How it works:
This smart lighting system reads electrical currents and utilizes advanced algorithms to identify the type of bulb and fixtures being used.
It is programmed with unique bulb learning capability and the system is compatible with any residential bulb, including:
- Dimmable and non-dimmable bulbs
- Electronic low voltage(ELV )
- Magnetic low voltage(MLV )
With combinational information of bulb type and data about the fixture and room type, the system gives the light in three modes:

Noon’s Room Director is engineered with a motion sensor that switches to the night mode when a person enters its proximity.
Vacation Mode store users’ patterns in the first week and then update it on weekly basis.
While the Noon’s servers receive the data in end-to-end encrypted communications.
