Austrian designer Klemens Schillinger has designed a Substitute Phone to cope with smartphone addiction.
Schillinger’s Substitute Phone will help smartphone addicts to cope with its absence.
People are becoming more and more reliant on their phones intentionally and unintentionally.
And according to Schillinger, smartphone addiction is so severe that people are constantly using their phone, even when they are not texting or calling someone.
The checking behavior of users, which involves endless and needless scrolling & swiping,
Schillinger believes, his Substitute Phone can help the users to overcome their addictive habit of using the smartphone.
Schillinger has come with five facsimile phones, which are made of black polyoxymethylene plastic with stone beads embedded in the surface.
These phones enable the user to perform the similar actions, including swiping and scrolling.
It actually provides the users with the alternative, who checks their phones again and again.
